Scouts usually only get one opportunity to attend a Jamboree. Lots of fun, new opportunities, meeting new friends and exciting activities are all reasons why you don't want to miss AJ2010.
It may seem a long way off, but 20 months will go very quickly!
Today is the day to start FUNDRAISING!
Why Fundraise?
Jamborees are a lot of fun - but they do cost money. All your food, transport, accommodation and activities are paid for during the event, and it soon adds up.
Some families may not be able to afford to send Scouts to a Jamboree. Some families may even have 3 or 4 people who want to go - that will cost lots of money!
The best way to make sure you can get to the Jamboree is to raise some money before hand to go towards your fee.
How to Fundraise
Some Scout Groups run a Jamboree fundraising committee to help families in their Group raise funds. Now is the time to start setting up this committee!
This fundraising committee works separately of your normal Group Fundraising to raise funds specifically for the Jamboree.
Speak to your Group Leader today and become a part of your Committee.
